Lyophilized peptides are typically stable at room temperature for several weeks or longer; therefore, if they are to be used within that timeframe, such storage is usually adequate.

However, for long-term storage (ranging from several months to years), it is preferable to store the peptides in a freezer at -80°C (-112°F). When storing peptides for months or even years, freezing is the optimal method for preserving their stability.
