Once the peptides are reconstituted (mixed with bacteriostatic water), they must be refrigerated to maintain their stability. After reconstitution, the peptides remain stable for up to 30 days.

Lyophilization is a unique dehydration process—also known as freeze-drying—in which peptides are frozen and then subjected to low pressure. This causes the water inside the vial to sublime directly from a solid to a gaseous state, leaving behind a stable, white crystalline structure known as a lyophilized peptide. This fluffy white powder can be stored at room temperature until you are ready to reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water.

Upon receipt, it is crucial to keep the peptides cool and protected from light. Whether they are to be used immediately or in the coming days, weeks, or months, short-term refrigeration at temperatures below 4°C (39°F) is generally acceptable. Lyophilized peptides are typically stable at room temperature for several weeks or longer; therefore, if they are to be used within that timeframe, such storage is usually adequate.

However, for long-term storage (ranging from several months to years), it is preferable to store the peptides in a freezer at -80°C (-112°F). When storing peptides for months or even years, freezing is the optimal method for preserving their stability.
